Terms & conditions
Draft updated 20 September 2026
These policies are being completed. Retention periods, business-disclosure requirements and commercial terms still require confirmation. This draft does not reduce any rights you have under applicable law.
1. About Nightfair
Nightfair is an independent marketplace for people to offer and purchase event tickets. We are not the event organiser or original ticket issuer unless expressly stated. Event and venue names identify the relevant event; their appearance does not imply a partnership or endorsement.
Nightfair is operated by Janhavi Oturkar, an individual trading as Nightfair, based in London, UK. No company is currently registered. Contact support@savethenight.uk or +44 7393 080444.
For direct tickets, the organiser named on the event page supplies the event and is responsible for admission and event delivery. Nightfair provides the booking, payment and ticket-management service. For resale tickets, the listing seller is responsible for ownership, transferability and accuracy. Nightfair remains responsible for its own service.
2. Your account
Give accurate account information, keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you suspect unauthorised use. You must be legally able to enter the transaction and satisfy the event’s age, student-status and identification requirements. Ticket buyers must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the platform. You may need to be 18 or older to buy tickets or make bookings for events with age restrictions. Event organisers must be at least 18 to create, manage or ticket events. Do not impersonate someone else or use another person’s payment or payout details without authority.
3. Selling tickets
Only list tickets you own and are entitled to transfer. Tickets must be genuine, unused and accurately described. Do not list the same ticket more than once, sell a ticket elsewhere after it has sold here, or conceal restrictions that could prevent entry. Check the original ticket terms, including named-holder rules and official transfer requirements.
Provide the exact event, date, ticket type, entry window, face value, applicable seat or standing-area details and any age, membership or student-ID restrictions. Disclose whether you are acting as a trader and any relationship with the event organiser or platform where applicable. Never put a usable QR code, barcode, password or personal ticket document into a public description.
Automated file and duplicate checks do not authenticate a ticket with its issuer and do not guarantee admission. A listing can be removed if inaccurate, unlawful or reported as fraudulent. Event artwork may only be added by the Nightfair team or the verified organiser account that owns that event. Upload only images you are entitled to use.
Organiser accounts and direct tickets
Organisers must provide an accurate business or organisation name, verify their organisation email and be authorised to act on its behalf. Email verification confirms access to an email address; it is not a guarantee of an organisation’s identity or an endorsement. Organisers are responsible for their events, capacity, ticket descriptions, admission rules and applicable licences, permissions and consumer obligations. Do not publish another organiser’s event as your own.
Tickets labelled “Direct from the organiser” are newly issued tickets for that organiser’s event. Each confirmed ticket has a unique admission code. The organiser checks it at entry and can use it once. Keep the code private. Organisers must complete Stripe payout onboarding before taking paid bookings. Event changes, cancellation, refunds and complaints must be handled promptly; statutory rights are unaffected.
Organisers must protect purchaser information and use it only to fulfil bookings, manage entry, resolve order problems and meet legal obligations. A booking does not give permission to add purchasers to a marketing list. Organisers are responsible for lawful artwork, tax obligations and prompt handling of cancellation or material changes. Contact support when existing bookings prevent changes to dates, location or entry rules.
4. Buying tickets
Check the event date, venue, ticket restrictions, delivery method and total cost before paying. A displayed listing is not a completed purchase. Follow the payment and order confirmation shown at checkout. Your admission remains subject to the organiser’s valid entry conditions; Nightfair cannot change those conditions.
5. Prices, fees and payments
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Applicable platform fees and the total payable must be displayed before you confirm payment. Payment and payout services use Stripe. Sellers may need to complete Stripe onboarding and verification. Payout availability depends on payment, delivery, dispute and account status; do not assume an immediate bank transfer.
For direct organiser bookings, the current booking fee is 10% of the ticket subtotal, with a minimum fee of £0.75 per paid order. Free bookings have no booking fee. The complete total is shown before payment. Direct-ticket proceeds are routed to the organiser’s connected Stripe account; bank payout timing depends on Stripe. Resale payout timing and the final commercial policy still require confirmation. We do not promise that funds are held in a regulated escrow account.
6. Delivery and problems
Use the delivery method shown on your order and complete any required official transfer. Downloaded tickets must not be shared beyond their intended recipient. If delivery fails, a ticket is invalid or the event changes, follow our refunds and complaints policy. Do not assume that a cancellation automatically triggers a refund without reporting the issue.
7. Acceptable use
Do not submit fake events, misleading listings, abusive content, malicious files or material you are not entitled to use. Do not manipulate sales, evade restrictions or access other users’ private data. We may restrict activity or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect users or meet legal obligations. Contact support if you believe a decision is wrong.
8. Responsibility and your rights
You remain responsible for information you submit and obligations arising from your sale or purchase. Nightfair remains responsible for its own service and duties under applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
9. Changes and contact
Material changes will be communicated appropriately and will not retrospectively remove rights attached to an existing purchase. Contact support with an order reference or listing link when raising a concern. The operator’s jurisdiction and final dispute provisions must be confirmed before publication as final terms.
Nightfair is operated by Janhavi Oturkar, an individual trading as Nightfair, based in London, UK. Nightfair is not a registered company.
