Cookie policy
Draft updated 20 September 2026
These policies are being completed. Retention periods, business-disclosure requirements and commercial terms still require confirmation. This draft does not reduce any rights you have under applicable law.
What cookies and browser storage do
Cookies are small values your browser sends back to a website. Local storage remembers information on your device without sending it automatically with every request. Nightfair uses these technologies for sign-in and preferences.
Current application storage
- stn_session: an essential sign-in cookie, set when a session is created, with no fixed server-session expiry when Remember Me is selected. The browser cookie is set for up to 400 days and renewed on return visits, subject to browser limits and cookie deletion. Password changes and resets revoke all sign-in sessions. Otherwise it is a browser-session cookie with a 12-hour server limit. Browser session-restore features may preserve session cookies. Signing out removes the browser cookie; sessions can also be revoked.
- stn_google_flow: a temporary security cookie used when you start Google sign-in or account linking. It lasts up to 10 minutes and is cleared when the callback completes.
- stn-theme: local storage for your selected light, dark or system appearance.
- stn-uk-location and stn-default-location: local storage for the current and saved location used to show events. These are selected preferences, not precise GPS tracking.
Local-storage preferences have no automatic expiry in the current application. You can change your preferences in the website or remove them through your browser’s site-data settings.
Purchase celebrations
Browser storage records which purchase celebrations have played so they do not repeat when you revisit a booking. This preference stays on your device until site data is cleared.
Third-party services
Event pages embed Google Maps automatically to show venue locations. Loading a map connects your browser to Google, which receives technical information such as your IP address and may use its own storage under its policies. Google and Stripe may use their own cookies when you choose their sign-in or payment services. Their notices apply on those services. Hosting and security infrastructure may also use necessary technologies. A production-browser audit is still required to confirm all infrastructure and third-party storage and its duration.
Optional tracking
No advertising pixels or optional analytics scripts were identified in the application code reviewed for this draft. If optional tracking is introduced, we will explain its purposes and obtain consent where required before activating it, with a way to change or withdraw that choice. This policy is not itself a consent mechanism.
Your controls
Your browser lets you block or delete cookies and local storage. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or payment flows from working. Removing preferences resets the corresponding display or location choice. See our privacy policy for wider information about personal data.
